Thank you Ottawa nerd. I have one more question. Do you know how to get a TD visa for non canadian spouses,. My wife is still a permanent resident of Canada.

We have many discussions on this issue and I am sure this question has been answered earlier.

If not, here is the answer as per my understanding.

Dependants of TN-1 visa holders can get TD-1 visa. It is not required for them to be a Canadian Citizen.

-- Get your TN status first. Then with your TN along with the marriage certificate (to prove that she is your spouse), she will have to go to the US consulate in Canada to get her TD visa stamp in her passport. The consulate trip is required since she is not a cdn citizen and hence requires a visa.

First of all, you are not bothering me! This is the place to ask questions!

Yes, you have to fill the normal DS-156 form and follow the normal rules/requirements to get the TD consular visa. No other special TD specific form is required.
