1) I hope the booklet CIC send is enough to prepare for the test. any other thing I should look into.

2) They request All Passports and travel documents (current and expired). Are they going to Keep it or they Just want to look at it? Do I have to give it up at the time of say the Oath?

Any other tips for the test would be welcome.

thanks

IMO:
he booklet they have given is more than enough, unless the test and its severity is different for different locations. I studied only from the boooklet and was the first out of the examination hall in five mins flat and a full score!! :D
Just wnt thro the booklet three times making mental notes of important information. Also, you need to get only 12 answers right from the 20 that they give. There are, I think, two compulsory questions, but they are too easy. So, not too big a deal unless you actively work towards flunking!!:D
Incidentally, just curious to know - Anyone here who did flunk the citizenship test ever??

From what stage to what stage do you want to know?

How does that matter? The processing is done by their main office and RCMP etc. wherever the hell that is. You will be asked to appear for the test in your own city.

Sorry but I did not understand your questions? Are they addressed to me or to mercury?

here is my time line: (from the CIC website)

------------------------------------------------
We received your application for grant of Canadian citizenship (adult) on December 03, 2003.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application, and a study book called A Look at Canada on December 03, 2003.

We started processing your application on April 19, 2004.

Your file was transferred on April 30, 2004 to the Mississauga CIC office for the citizenship testing and taking of the citizenship oath. The Mississauga CIC office will contact you to write the Citizenship test.

I received the Test Letter today. (Nov 10, 2004).
