Dear Smart guy:

The answer is very simple. So many of us leave India after talking bad or worse about it to our own relatives;and leave for this country. After realizing the factual situation, they do not have the grace or decency to admit either to themselves or to their relatives that they were wrong and need to start afresh.

What a totally negative approach to life's mistakes and actions.I would have thought that a positive way would be to accept the mistake, find some suitable job in India and move on and live happily.

The grass is always greener on the other side.Just like the shining Moon always smiling on Unhappy Earth! :)

As I have mentioned earlier, it feels sad when desis feel that they have been fooled after landing here and keep on cursing Canada.

Most of the desis know very well what they are looking forward to.
Most of the gujarati families have atleast 1 family/friend living in Europe or N.America. Hence, they very well know the western way of life.

Not all desis have a family background to vist or legally live in a western country while they are growing up. Moreover, desi Bollywood movies and the western channels in India plays a major role in arising hopes for such desis to live in a foreign land. They disregard the known facts and just fly into their fairy land.

with the Internet so handy in India, any tom dick and harry knows that the education and experience from a 3rd world country can fetch them a visa, but cannot award them with a great life on their arrival. They need to struggle and wade their way out of the troubled waters.

My personal experience:

A desi whom I did not know somehow finds some connection and gets in touch with me from India. He needed my help here. I updated him of the situation. He says he is ready to broom & mop. come what may- HE WANTS TO SETTLE DOWN IN CANADA. BTW this guy is a Production Engr. he said he'll come alone and then later on call his wife and 2 grown up kids.(to avoid any sort of burden on me)
He shows up alongwith his entire family and for months he kept on applying for some managerial positions everywhere. Finally, after 5 months when he came to his senses, found some facotry job, rented a place and moved out. During 5 months neither he or his wife cleaned the toilet they were using or did any household chores which are so called Insulting to their birth/caste.

Although I feel like helping desis settle down, my personal experience has not been that great.

With the new points system, any tom and dick from India or for that any country can't apply for the Canadian immigration.

Now the new applicants need to show their English proficiency (via IELTS) and they need either job offer from a company OR immediate family member so that they can accumulate required points.

This country needs day to day basic need workers (ex: carpenters, electricians, packaging people, truck drivers....)

But some guys in India just to get better life they sacrifice everything in India will come here and some guys think they can get better life in IT market. But sadly the IT market in Canada is worse than Pakistan. ( Canada won't even come close to India)

There are tons of desis here who abuse canada like hell..me included..
but they refuse to go back...
Oh..India is beautiful..people are friendly..u can go home at 7..we have cars n servants and luxury..
but I don't like this place..I want to go back..
And even after 3 years they are still here..why??

Hyprocrites...

A bit info abt me..

I went back to Ahmedabad after finishing my 3d Diploma over here and stayed there for 10 months..Had to come back coz My 1MM 1000 would not have been valid after Dec 03..So waiting for my PR card..
I have travelled the globe quite extensively..was in singapore and Aus at the age of 10..travelled all over Europe at the age of 19 alone..
There's nothing compared to home...

My Dad had a US and Australia Immigration Visa before...But some how he never wanted to leave India..Went t o Aus and then to US too..but could not bear the idea of doing a labour job..tried a lot for his business over there but nothing clicked....so came back..He has his own company and is one of the leading pollution consultants of India..
I think I am happy that I was raised in India..and am so strong attached to the roots. unlike other guys whom I have met.
after all its your choice in life..what u want to do ...is all up to you..

So if u don't like it here..go back..

Hi! Guys

I do agree India is best.

But then why all of u r there and not in India ?

Don't u guys want best things in life?

I may be little blunt but let us accept the fact.

All of us in Canada or who are in the process of immigration wants to get out of the mess called India even at the cost of putting all our lif's saving and career at stake.

Let us not be Hypocrates but accept the stark reality.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Vivek
