Yash Chopra is certainly one of the finer directors India has produced . He takes u on a trip of virtual reality of a world of love glamour and goodness!! He catches the emotions and displays them brilliantly .

Silsila , Lamhe , Darr -- and he always works with the current stars .

But no1 is perfect and YC did have some misses in Veer Zaara..... As mentioned by others similarity with other movies left audience craving for something new .

Then maybe I alone observed it but I found a lot of time lag suddenly when the scene changes and u find Preity Zinta with gray hair.........leaving u zapped as if a lot has been left undiscovered........which in turn left me discontended . A good movie doesnt leave u with that feeling of dissatisfaction. Like a missed o.

Music was nice ---- AB & SRK didnt seem 2 vibe when together. Photography and dialogues were good.

Maza aagaya movie dekhkar . I have seen it four times since and uska Cd to merey ghar mey roj bajta hai.

Beautiful.

Swades is also excellent.

Veer zaara is a very good movie and Mr. Yash chopra is one of the best director of India.

What kind of emotions did it generate.After the movie finishes, you get a feeling that you have not received a complete satisfaction and enjoyment.
meghal said that it is an art form.. so what does an art do.. go to your heart head and start a reaction which generates a feeling of satisfaction.
At the outset, I would say that each brain is different and functions differently.
Do you agree that it a matter of emotions and not reason which is more important when you go for a movie.
( I should clarify that I am a great fan of shyam benegal movies... showing reality..real characters I stilll despise raja babu role of govinda... )

Now I enjoy Govinda movies too....go for just enjoyment .. ..
What good point was there in lagaan... only a cricket match with cliche remarks ..
Due to similar objections I never liked bride and prejudice..and other indo-american movies( Pardes EXCLUDED)made by ordinary directors like gurinder chadha etc. They just cashing India among NRIs.
Now you may also say that Devdas was BAD.
I admire shahrukh for his style of portraying role like devdas , ashoka.
Then if you like lagaan then you must have immensely liked swades.To me it was good but sometime looked like a documentary on development .. or lack of it... in india. Did it remind you of GUIDE... the last scenes??

I agree.. BLACK is overdone..it just works on emotion of sympathy.
