Hi to all...
i applyed in Oct -2003 and got my File number in Jan2004, after that there is no info from CHC london.. on online CIC it shows application in process.
generally how long it is taking from Gulf.
hello cmanyan,
Isn't that post form you. i must say ur a panicky person. your posts are full of panic. one step at a time and learn to relax. there is lots more in canda that you have bother about when you will get here. stop worrying right now.
and comign down to your questions. yes once you land here you are deemed resident of canda and legally you should be paying taxes etc, filing for GST credit, child tax benefit etc which is calculated on world wide income.
Hi,
If you stay in Canada just for a month and go back to Gulf, you need not to file Canadian income Tax Return. At the same time you would not be allowed to take any benefits such as GST nd CTB. To get these benefits one has to be a Canadian Resident and has to file tax return.
I your case you could be termed as a deemed Candian Resident, but you could live worry free without filing a tax return here in Canada. Mind it, that in case you change your situation shortly and come back to Canada after a short period you could be asked to submit your tax return. For Canadian residents (persons who are abliged to file tax return) their worldwide income is taxable. However, one can take setoff of any tax paid on foreign income.
