nocanadatoday,
i am not agree with you. though i came back but that does not mean canada become bad. i still like canada.initially every one face difficulties in settling at a new place. even if in india if you move to another place , its a new starting.
lot of immigrants moving to canada from different part of world. it is not easy to assess and absorb every body in jobs. also there is language problem for new immigrants.
u said there are very few success stories on the site. there may be different reasons for that. all successful persons may not be aware of this site. also they may not be having time or interst in devoting time to the site.
i know lot of successful immigrants in canada . there are persons who made very good progress in very short span.
what i think a successful immigrant need lot of hard work and patience.
please contribute positive thought. i also started a thread -whether to move to canada. but never i was negetive.
ptm
Is it worth moving to Canada??
NO
Is it worth loving the country you were born in AND lived much of your life?
YES and YES....
What to do once you move to Canada?
Just shut the hell up about hee hahing pros and cons and find work AND some FOOD.
Availability of work in Canada is subjective but food is avilable in pelnty here.
Just visit food banks and get food for a week. If you visit multiple food banks, you get food for many weeks.
All the best to everyone .

I am a Gents and not a Ladies.
YES, it is a very good place to get into and settle down and raise a family.
Life is a struggle and how happily you can make it move depends upon the skills you possess. Also how good an entrepreneur you are. People came here with nothing and made a decent life for themselves and their kids.
Now for the skills, there is an N.O.C., list which will provide you with an idea whose skills are being sought here. If you do fall into one such number, then you can get into Canada, if you have sufficient funds to get in with and make a start.
FORTYEIGHT percent of Immigrants, in the last ten years working here or living in the Major cities are living at the POVERTY Levels, or hand to mouth. Some are smart and make use all of the available meant to get by and carry on smartly. Some return quietly and we do not know. For them it feels like a failiure. All of these figures are from the research I do. (* Poverty Level is about $29,000 for that year.)
So, if you are a qualified person, then do make an attempt with an entry into Canada and if you are married, then huddle up and put two heads together and see how you both find the thought is. Happiness is relative. And if you have more relatives there then you can be more happier right where you are. Remember when you get in, unless you have a few friends who will guide you, you will have to start to make friends slowly and how fast a friends you will become depends upon your social skills. That is always the case when you get into a new town or a new place.
But I always encourage young minds to get into Canada and feel the vastness it offers and the opportunities it provides, right from the start, though you may be just a NEW entrant.
And you can always buy a Lottery Ticket and win overnight.
Good Luck, who ever you are...
FH.
