COME ON GUYS YOU CANNT COMPARE A COLD MORGUE ( MURDE - KHANA ) WITH A LUSH GREEN PASTURE LIKE USA. COLD, BITTER COLD MEANS PSYCHOSIS,DWINDLING BUSINESS, NO JOBS/ LAY-OFFS AND WORST OF ALL , SELF-DENIAL BY ALL THE IMMIGRANTS INTO NOT MAKING IT BIG ONE DAY DUE TO LACK OF CANADIAN EXPERIENCE !!
ONE THING I LEARNED IN USA WAS THERE IS NO THING AS AMERICAN EXPEREINCE AS THERE ARE JOBS AND AN AMERICAN EMPLOYER IS RUNNING AFTER PROSPECTIVE WORKERS.ONE THE OTHER HAND THERE ARE INTERVIEWS, RESUMES , CANADIAN EXPERIENCE ETC. ETC. AND AT THE END NO JOBS , AS THERE ARE REALLY NO JOBS!!

Hi All CD's
Got my B1/B2 visa for US. Pretty simple but long affair. I always wanted to go to USA first but after 9/11...rest is history.
I was there for 5 days and when I came back I realiased what a great decision it was to settle in Canada. The only thing in USA which is better ( not always) it the money one can make.
But I think here in Canada people are making money too.
I have decided that I will not settle in USA at all inspite being an IT professional.

Hi everyone,
it is quite an interesting topic to discuss. I am currently in the US in Florida. I have my H1 B and am working as a research engineer in a university. i have already applied for my Canadian immigration and am waiting for my landing papers. nothing is stable in the US as of now. Inspite of having a job in the university I am finding it quite tough to get my green. It's a along wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well I've reading all post by others and I think it depends upon the individual his job his taste for weather..
I do believe that in Canada the so called "Canadian Experience" is a big deal..but once you get a job in your field then its not that bad.
Getting a job in Us is a much faster affair in IT at least.. You can write what you want on a resume no one cares really as most of them are consultants..
As for the weather yes you do get fustrated when there is -35 windchill..
but still i believe that going to Us is risky you might make more money but seeing the present waiting times for GC..it's a long wait.
My best bet would be get Canadian Citizenship and then go to US on TN visa but still I dont think i would be interested in working in the US even after Canadian Citizenship...
And dont forget that you can always call your parents here permanently..nothing beats that when you have your family here.
Bur for those you think differently it's good that they believe in what they want so all the best guys and for those who feel it's better here great !
