Hi all Desis
Working in a warehouse or machining job. Getting money only sufficient to pay rent and phone bills. This is real Canada. If U r illiterate then it is a heaven. If you are educated professional then a Hell.
In US if you are a professional enjoy.
Canada is for iliiterate people and truck drivers.

The facts are facts. There is no denying what surinder has summarized. Though i am working in IT and doing good as of now, i have seen a lot out here and you should accept the fact that majority, i mean absolute majority of the people have to do blue collar job.
There are definitely few guys who are doing well but that percentage could be less than 1%. Rest all have to do blue collar which indirectly means unskilled-labor work or any other means of cheap service.
The fact is that the employers most of the time asks for canadian experience, even to guys who has US qualification and experience.
I donot know what makes you shout when people give their fact opinion.
If you have today's metro, you could see what it has mentioned and what could be the future of new immigrants.
It says that during this decade the poverty and unemployement has gone up and people are making less money.
In next decade there will be 3 million more immigrant will get added to this country where there is absolutely no private investments. Government is doing some investment that too by collecting heavy taxes.
It seems you tend to get inferiority and insecurity feeling when people talk fact...
So better not to shout with the kind of comments you have passed instead give a proper reply with some facts buddy...
Canda is plain S*#t as people say. US has unbelievably huge & successful Indian population.

Funny you are asking for facts and you make an unsubstantiated statement. You've said that 'less than 1%' of professionals are 'doing well'..........how did you come up with that?
.........and while we're on the subject, one does not frequently come across people who have spent more than 4 - 5 years in Canada, complaining on this board (there are exceptions). Seems to suggest that immigrants take some time to settle in, but eventually do.
Bottomline, nothwithstanding all the doomsday stories that you've tried to post on the board, you're still here in Canada.........so save your breath!
BTW, this topic was a comparison of the US and Canada, lets get back to that!

U have ridiculed others statistics & ur so called unsubstantiated figures .
Y dont u put in ur "substantiated" figures for once please instead of challenging others . ??? Now dont say u dont have any .
And remember , people settle 2 their fate & not 2 Canada ........ When an Immigrant comes 2 Canada he takes a major leap forward and after putting in so much he tries to make bad things good and accept what he has got ........................ y they complain is coz they havent got what they expected ..........
U give an option of taking ppl back in time & then ask them whether they wud wish 2 come ??
Lastly the craze of migrating 2 Canada is dying now even in Asian countries (check ur figures ) as prospective immigrant are getting aware of the realities .
