Good man Das FX. I don't want to go to Toronto and be classified as part of the large indian community there. I think its important to break out of the stigma created by our community.

I was born in a predominatly white population and as a result have an open mind and an open philosphy as to how to act. Indian philosphy is great but in some cases has a pull back effect.

I'm thinking Winnipeg and mid BC as good places to start and learn about Canada. After a few years you can always move on if disillution sets.

I think it is also important to open non indian minds as to how we conduct ourselves and sometimes being a little different can open a few more opportunity doors.

what other places would you suggest that I do research on? and do you have any employment agencies contact details you can forward?

doing some research at the moment as I think it is fatal to move into Canada and not have a job.

ps f**k the people who walk around calling people coconuts etc. Having an open mind is great and those with closed minds suffer. The art is explore but don't forget where you started of. I'm gonna marry an Indian Girl, but one with a western mindset.

I know this may mean having deep pockets, but ultimatly it is going to be my children that benifit.

don't forget some recruitment companies that you would suggest to a brit indian

Das - FX, that's a great suggestion.

Provinces like Alberta are debt-free. Cost of living is comparatively less than cities like Toronto & Vancouver. Work opportunities are also more due to the oil boom. Economy is good. There is no provincial tax on products. Since they are smaller cities, travelling time is also less. Major cities in Alberta are Edmonton, Calgary, Fort Mcmurray (major oil reserves), etc.

Infact there are many people who are moving from cities like Toronto, Ottawa precisely for this reason. Negative factors are :

1. Extreme cold in winter.

2. Health care premium has to be paid every month. e.g. for myself, my wife & my 2 kids aged 7 & 3, I pay $88 every month.

Thanks.
