when i talked about "alternative" ways, i didnt have the lottery aspect in mind at all...
the "alternative" means totally depend on individual circumstances and personal skills and talents.....
its upto the individual to "apply their mind", figure out the ways.

(the above is just MY way of looking at it...... )

Well, I was hoping you'd spell out a couple, but anyways. Agreed, no two people are going to have the same exact view on what's required, however the majority of success stories are going to have a great deal of commonality between them. (i.e. things like hard work, perseverence, luck etc etc).

I think the original poster meant to identify these and whether you call them "necessary" or "nice to haves" is just verbage.

BL,

i totally agree with u, and basically, my point was about the terminology too...NECESSAY.
personally, i do not agree with it, and feel that IT IS PRECISELY THE REASON Y A LOT OF THE POEPLE WHO ARE TRYING TO FIND THE ANSWERS, ARE TRYING TO FIND THEM, coz .......they are thinking that there is a set of rules that HAVE to be followed, and so they try to achieve those, when in some cases they may not be in a position to achieve them no matter what they do
and in the process, they dont ever try to think out of the box
and spend their time trying to rick of the items on the list of so called "necessities", when they actually are totally ill equipped to achieve that, and would have been better off if they used "intelligence" a little more and did something else........

I want the cultures of all the lands to be blown about my house as freely as possible.
But I refuse to be blown off my feet by any.
