lso I want to add, is any 'canada hater' is willing to renounce their canadian citizenship or just keep ranting about canada and still hold on to their citizenship ?

they continue to enjoy the tax benefits given to NRI/PIO/OCI made possible by the very passport of the country they hate?
***********
It is similar to, after taking Canadian citizenship, will you renounce Indian citizenship and promise never to come to India?
may be you will say, No, for my parents , relatives are being helped by the Indian govt. by the Indian govt. giving then subdized rice, diesel, gas, low cost of living, cheap and quality but paid health care. Why would I let them leave all that and make them come to Canada. also if they are suffering from some terminal diseases , Canada does not want them here in canada.
Hope you got nicely.

Peace

Also :
TK likes :
Indian Jobs
Indian work life balance
Indian health care

TK Dislikes
Canada Cold
Canada no jobs
Canada No pay
Canada racism

A Canadian likes :
Canada Jobs
Canada work life balance
Canada Healthcare

A Canadian Dislikes :
India Hot
India not professional jobs like Canada
India low pay in rupees
India health care.

Conclusion ; We are only at the different countries. But our intention is all same. So donot be a person who sees a speck of dust in other people eye while you have a stone in your own eye.

Nothing personal. Only professional advise.

Peace

Isnt it a strange thing that a person who is trying to glorify India, finding its positives, is being bashed by his own erstwhile countrymen sitting in other country ? TK , though bit raw and crude in his expression of thoughts is atleast praising and selling India.
Unfortunaltely for me , I personally bash India when there are bouts of dejection aroused in me, rather all happy in Canada CDs do so indirectly when they edge life in Canada as 'better'. So we all are same. ( we all are TKs :D sitting in one side or other)
Everybody is entitled to express views, online forums are rather full of more disgruntled people expressing there views than the happy ones. Lets not make it a big deal what one man says, he is speaking from his personal experience after all, what life gave him and there is always learnings from other's experience. Let us learn few.

Given a chance people would like to have ten passports to escape from hassle of crossing borders on own will and making a fun trip or living. Giving up a foreign passport will be a stupidity , so is asking that question. !

TK, I've made this statement in another post a few weeks ago, in response to your post. I'll repeat it once again. Here are the details of my cell phone plan:
* Unlimited incoming voice and text
* Unlimited outcoming - Canada-wide
* Unlimited text to North America
* Call waiting, Call forwarding, Call display, v/mail
...all for $22.60 / month (incl. tax).
What makes you think this is a large bill. And mind you this is a regular plan, not a special one or retention one

You canot celebrate holi, diwali.

Sorry to say, but this your ignorance. Google "Sikh Parade Toronto", and see how many hits you get on major news/newspaper sites - CBC, Toronto SUN etc. Every year in April, there is a Sikh parade in Downtown Toronto from the CNE grounds to Queen's Park for Baisakhi. Around 10-15 Gurudwaras from around TO take part and the estimates crown is around 50,000. At Queen's Park major politician's incl. our Premier is there every year for the closing remarks. You'd be shocked at the amount of langar (community kitchen, i.e. free food in your words), and off course the variety. For the last 16 years I've been attending the same every year with my family.

And this is just one, there are other smaller parades by individual Gurudwaras at other times of the year.

Holi is celebrated at various Temples with great pomp and joy.

Similarly for Diwali being celebrated at the Temples and Gurudwaras. My kids enjoy fireworks right in front of my house every year. I exchange mithai with my Chinese and Guyanese neighbours, and in exchange I get delicious Chinese treats for Chinese New Year :D

India's Independence Day is celebrated at Dundas Square in Downtown TO every year.

Need I say more...

Just a few words of advise - Ever individual in this world comes with their own fate. Some are more luckier than others, while others are more unluckier than some. You came in this world with your own fate. It may just your luck that coming to Canada didn't work for you. It doesn't mean that it will not work for others. Just grow up and out of it. You're a mature grown up individual with a family. Look at the positive side of life. May be fate wanted you to return to India. May be that's your gateway to Dubai or Australia or any other place you wish to be. Please don't take this personally.

People who left India few decades ago did not severe ties. There are number of reasons (not only the job) you want to keep ties with the country you left. Smart people look for the investment opportunities. You don't have to be in that country to cash business benefits. TK might be a smart guy who is looking for a real estate crash in Canada so that he can invest in this country, after all he is a Canadian citizen and he has every right to know more about what is happening in this country and what benefits he can avail while being away from this country. This is just a human nature. Do not forget that we live in one global village.

The only thing which I did not like about his saying that he gets a pleasure to see when others are suffering.

TK's situation today " aasman se gire khajoor mein atke ".

The way he describes about India I can only say after spending no's of years in Indian corporate at senior management position " life is not so easy " its true that if you want to make Money today India is the place but in return you sacrifice a lot .

I don't get it.
As far as I know Canada imposes taxes on you worldwide income and there is no such thing in India.
Keeping all conditions same, a person working in Middle east will pay tax to Canadian govt if he is a Canadian but an Indian working in Middle east will pay tax to none.
