does anyone know about immigration law which says that one can stay out of canada if one is working for a canadian company. the time spent outside canada working for a canadia company is accounted towards the 3 years required for applying for canadian citizenship. any expert comments

I have tried searching on http://www.cic.gc.ca" rel="nofollow">LINK but such info does not exist on that website.
But I have too heard that there is some clause that if u are employed by a canadian company in canada and then that company sends you on its projects to work outside, that time might be considerd as your resident time, although you will pay all taxes to canada.
Let us wait for an opinion from the immigration expert.

That time is only accounted for maintaining PR and not counted for citizenship . You still should maintain an address in canada and connections and have to be paid in canada and also you should be paying taxes in canada on all your Income .
