Please get your credentials assessed prior to immigrating. Learn about this well before you apply to xyz organisation to get your credentials assesed.

If you are a professional write to the organisation that governs your profession in Canada/Ontario/etc to find out what you need to get done. Not all professions accept the credentials assessed by generic bodies (like WES).

I am looking for a web link/a source to send my credentials for assessment if there is one for any province like ALBERTA, Ontario, BC, etc.

I did mine thru WES as per Certified Management Accountant (CMA), the program I am joining. Depends on from which country your documents were issued the steps are mentioned in the link: http://www.wes.org/ca/required/index.asp

CMA Canada performs their own evaluation for free.

Are you referring to the US CMA (IMA) which is useless in Canada.

I work in IT industry in India and have around 10 years of work experience and my education qualification is Masters in computer science. I plan to land on Canada by end of July 2011.

Is it mandatory or beneficial to have my credentials assessed?
