Dear All,
Can any one give a rough estimate of cost of living in Guelph, Ontario for a family of three. We are moving from BC. I understand that Vehicle insurance will be higher. How about health insurance? How much a family of three will need to survive, on bare essentials?
Thanks in adbance
Ranin
Welcome to Guelph. It is a bit expensive though compared to Toronto. The rents are cheaper ($800-$1000 per month for 2 bdrm) but everything else is more expensive.
I dunno where in BC you are from. Definitely Guelph is less expensive than Vancouver but maybe more expensive than Kamloops!

"What is more expensive than Toronto in Guelph?"
Groceries - 25% more expensive. Especially fresh fruits/veggies
Restaurants - 25% more expensive - You have very few low price options.
Other items (No Walmart there , only Zellers and Sears!!) - 25 - 50% more expensive!
