Dear Massoodji,
My CAIPSnotes (received today) reveal that I have only been given a total of 10 points, that too because of my age. Zeroes in everything else.
I find it strange because:
1) I obtained a band of 8.5 in IELTS (Between Bands 8 and 9 in each individual section)
2) Am a post grad. from one of India's premier Univs.
3) Worked in relevant fields (as listed in NOC) for 10 years (when I applied)
4) My spouse is a Graduate
I've applied for PR in Feb 2003 (New Delhi) and the BF (Bring forward?) date as stated in my CAIPSnotes is 31 Dec 2006, so maybe thay have not done an initial assessment yet.
However, I believe that based on docs received (I'd sent everything together with my application), they are supposed to do an initial assessment when they send an AOR (march 2003).
If that is the case, any idea as to why zeros in everything other than age? And should I do about it?
yeah i got it,
they had not done ur IA. and IA is not done when they send u AOR. they only check the required and supporting documents, especially IELTS result now days and fees.
but they used to lock the birth date on the day when the file is submitted, so u get 10pts for it. for rest ur IA is still due, best of luck. and as u had said in ur other post that ur Bring Forward date is dec 2006, they must have plan of doing ur IA before that date.

"the file’s official ‘bring forward date’ will tell you when (in theory) your application will be put on a immigration officer’s desk for formal assessment. This is when you will discover if you have been granted an interview waiver."
so BF is the date when the officer will assess your application, so to know exactly how much points he gave u and is interview necessary, apply for ur next caips notes after 31 dec 2006.
