CD members,
I have been seeing for sometime , that people stray away from the topic intentionally. This thread was about " Misconceptions about immigration to CAnada". ( i belive something about tamils was discussed in another thread) How did it end up being a thread analysing Tamils? See the first page. It really has good points relating to the misconceptions. Instead of adding on to it, some people intentionally redicule/ disagree and then more and more people come in. I am very very specifically refering to "Jake3d" and "Morning Rain".
The above 2 people that i am refering to bring ina whole lot others into the muddle.
Please try to stick to the point. Dips made a good point. but it would have been lost in 5 pages of sheer nonsense.
May i request all members to post only stuff leading to the Topic.
If you have had a bad day at the office or work, please take out the fruestration either by jogging or yoga. Please donot bring the frustration on the board.
Can we please give the Topic back to the owner of the thread? Please.
TK
Sidenote : And please donot create a 10 page explanation/ bashing point by point to this post. It will do every one good if we stick on to replying to the topic.
Sidenote 2 : I will NOT be replying to any explanation/bashing in this thread (except to the moderators). so please donot. I will reply only to matters regarding the main topic.

Hey things like that happened to the thread about good things about canada too :). Guess who was the first one to post -ve views on that thread? Whose rambling did BL have to remove from another thread today?
Practise what you preach? Or take some more of those english lessons :).

And why pick on MR, she genuinely seems interested in understanding you...unlike me :).

Sidenote::p I'm so happy that you will not respond to this post as you have stated

Double sidenote: extremely overjoyed in fact.

So, you accepts TK is your guru, therefore you are also going to do the same as TK - You are doing exactly same as TK.

TK - I also don't understand why you pick on MR.

You can't use reasoning with TK, therefore happy. I am not suppoting TK, but many of his views are with good reasoning (many-many times he goes to the extreme, yes true), but he is almost managing 'Charcha' section, as you can see all of you are only replying to him. I never see him (TK) using foul language or making fun of anybody.

Just making fun of a guy is easy.
TK - keep writing, but don't go too much extreme and don't generalise tamil culture, etc.

:). Exactly, I did spend my time 'reasoning' with the guy in his 'Prabhu' avataar. Since I came to the same conclussion as you have, I have changed tact. I will find out if its the right or wrong thing to do in my owntime.

My question to you is, if you know what the guy writes cannot be reasoned with, why do you goad him on. You really need to fight this on the back of someone else dont you? :) .

I wasnt planning to post a reply but I wanted to acknowledge ur post.

My purpose on this site is to learn from others, discuss and offer information and resources if I can.

I agree with BL: There is no sense in being lead into tangents. Thats why I start separate threads if I have questions etc. I believe there is a place for discussions and such on this site, though away from information seeking posts.

TK: I apologize if it seems to you that I ridicule you. I try to ask questions get clarifications of what people post.

MR,
I did not specifically say that you rediculed me and i say now specifically that your posts were not redicluing me.
But what is happening is you tend to disagree with each and every comment that i make and this leads to a host of people taking the post off Tangent.
For eg: In one post , i said that if desi's are coming to Canada with parents/ children in the summer, be careful when you go out, b'cos people dress in a very obscene way and that can make a desi with parents/ children embarresed . It may be alright to you but for a desi with children/ old parents it is not. You made a big fuss about it. What was the need?. This prompted some people to take pot shots at will. It was just a reminder that i put for newly arriving desi's. Like this there are many. I was even told by a member (privately) who visits this board often that you get really peeved whenever someone talks about the realities of Canada and i find it true each and every time.
And MR, It does not seem to me that you are trying to get clarifications of what is posted. To me it looks like you are waiting for a reply/ Observation that pleases you. If it does not please you, then all hell breaks loose and your further postings reflect it. Some other people side with you and the whole topic goes out of context.
I hope that in the future me, you and all the rest try to adhere to the original intent/ concept of the thread.
TK
Sidenote : Sorry! Just wanted to clear things up and leave way for the original intent of the thread.

I can perfectly understand that peoples have different views and are not bound to agree ..
What I can't understand is that when we disagree do we have to "NECESSARILY SARCASTIC " or use foul language :( ??????
