HI!,
I came to Canada in 2004 March as a new immigrant & returned after collecting my P.R. card & completing the formalities. At that time I had no plans to settle immediately. I did not fill in FORMS B4 & B4A.
Now i am planning to move for good in August 2006
I would like to move my personal things now.I would like to know the procedure for moving things & claiming duty exemption on them.

If you have a chance, go to the nearest canadian embassy and get things sorted out before you travel. Some times, they consider your absence from the country, without a returning resident papers, as abandoning the canadian residency. If you have done all of this by now, and get to purchase a ticket to Canada through a travel agent, on a one way ticket, then you are in lala land now.
They will ask you any goods to follow:?
Say yes to, in your flight declaration form, on board the plane, prior to landing with approximate value. That should do you good.. (Make sure you packed all the stuff by yourself or by some one you trust your life with)
Any more questions, ask all of the guys here, some one will get back to you in due course......??
Good Luck
and Happy landing.
Welcome back to CILIVISATION.

Freddie.

Yes 'TIMON",
There is a little RED imp in there, where the GREY cells are locatred, with horns and a big curly tail and with a sharp harpoon like end on it that keeps nudging me from time to time, that says "be a little creative and original and add a little humour", some may call it sarcasm or cynicism. That is his way of channeling the response to a query. Makes the answer a little different and lively and it gets stuck to the receiving end like chewing gum under a deskchair. No one forgets it afterwards. May be it is my brand of humour. I was born with it. Also when you are searching for facts and figures, boom it pops up with a good one.
My regards to 'Poomba",

Freddie.

Yes, the devil made me do it.
