I am sure that you people know how some humans suffer in India (and elsewhere - esp. Africa). Some of them donot even get to eat a meal a day. Whenever i go to india, i always feel sad in seeing so many poor / destitute people in the bus stands, outside restaurants, Railway stns., etc.... In the past i have tried and suceeded in giving money / food / cloths to these people (inspite of opposition from my mother).
What is the big deal about breeding a dog in india and selling it in Canada. if you people are this much concerned about the feelings of a dog, how much more should you be concerned with the life of a human being. Isn't the Human worth much more than a Dog?
TK A

It's not as simple as that TK. Breeding in India and selling in Canada...sounds great but have you considered all aspects of this idea of yours??? From all your previous comments it sounds like you wound't give a crap about the health and well-being of the animal you will be selling....and let me tell you something about the people in Canada...they CARE about their pets...they want to know everything about the animal they are purchasing, including bloodline - it's not just about giving your little kid a pet to play with. Dogs are more than just a pet to people, they are companions, members of the family.

Is the life of a human worth more than a dog? If you agree with this TK, I'd like to ask you why.

If you care so much about your fellow people who are suffering in India...why not try to help them in some way instead of exploiting innocent animals for your personal gain?

PP,
Thanks for the rational answer. I am trying to help Indians/Africans in what ever way that i can.
I still canot agree that Dogs have feelings as distinct as a Man's. I belive that Dogs will adjust to the household that it is sold in. i donot think that i might be exploiting animals for my personal gains if i breed them in India and sell them in Canada. Note that i have already said that it is just a buisiness (Just as Canada does the business of immigration).

Sidenote : I was just asking CD members for their view regarding this business and if it would be profitable. I also wanted to know about the feasilbility of this kind of business given the huge profit margins. I still have not decided to do this as of yet. I am waiting for further inputs. So for now, it is just a Hypothetical situation.

MR,
Based on my religion, Animals were created by God for food consumption and for completing the chain of cycle (eg. Snakes eat rats, rats eat insects etc...). That is why God did not give the 6th. sense to them.
Question to you MR,
Would you care more for Abuse of Animals or Abuse of man (Including the big scam of Canadian Immigration)?
TK A
Sidenote : Abuse of Animals is a very subjective term and hence i donot want to discuss about it. I know Menaka Ghandi.

Apples and oranges.

Domestic Animals are like children- fully dependant on their owners for shelter, food, water, and safety.

I Care about the welfare of people..that is why I am a social worker.

I also care about the welfare of animals..because im a pet parent, because I have also seen the love and affection, the commitment, the loyalty, the companionship an animal can provide a person that no person can. I believe in Karma..what goes around, comes around.

I dont think religion has anything to do with basic respect for life.
I realized that... thats why i stopped taking away life from others..and eating them.

It has been found that Plants have life and also that they exhibit pain. So would you stop eating vegetables?
The Milk that you drink comes from cows which are either just grown and fed for giving Milk or the milk that is deprived from the baby calf. Once the cow has finished its quota of Milk , it is sent to be slughtered and to be eaten by other members of Canada who eat beef. So by drinking Milk you are actually contributing to this sort of business. This is abuse to a certain extent. So would you stop drinking Milk.?
Hey yarr! There is a limit to absurdity. But you are taking it too far.
If you like pets, it is fine with me. But please let some others who are not concerned with your philosophy do business yarr!

Sidenote : Sorry if i sound harsh to you but please note that i am seeing this only as a business and not seeing the morality in this. This is just a proposal. it may work out or it might turn to be just hypothetical.
