Sidenote: Me and My dad , we both have hit with a stick the lambs/goats which stray from the shepherd's watch and eat our flower beds. Also my mother has beaten stray cats which drink our milk or eat our curds. Please note that this is in India.

Sidenote : I want to share this aspect with CD members. While in practice, my dad has his watch broken, his foot fractured and his temple scratched while he was treating cows. So i bore a gurdge against cows. When we went for an all india tour, in Jaisalmer, i found a calf trying to hit me. I gave it a nasty kick on the leg that it ran away. One of my rich class girl was agast on seeing this and she scolded me for this. I did not care and just scolded her back. Just a recolection of my college days.

)You do not see the big deal in this because you fail to understand that dogs have feelings too. They are creatures with emotions/fears/anxieties that need love and respect.
But then I don't expect you to understand that.

I am agast to see such a reaction in a business of selling pets.
I am sure that you people know how some humans suffer in India (and elsewhere - esp. Africa). Some of them donot even get to eat a meal a day. Whenever i go to india, i always feel sad in seeing so many poor / destitute people in the bus stands, outside restaurants, Railway stns., etc.... In the past i have tried and suceeded in giving money / food / cloths to these people (inspite of opposition from my mother).
What is the big deal about breeding a dog in india and selling it in Canada. if you people are this much concerned about the feelings of a dog, how much more should you be concerned with the life of a human being. Isn't the Human worth much more than a Dog?

I've heard tiger skins and ivory have a good market here too. Maybe we can get together get some of them elephants and tiggers.

I am not sure if you are serious or sarcastic but these products are even banned in India. Doing what you had written is illegal in India. I am not sure of the laws in Canada but i have not seen these things being sold in Canada. However i have seen these being sold in Nigeria, Africa in 1983.
Have you heard of Sandlewood veerappan and his demise?
