its 10.9 cents buddy....for mobiles or landlines...:(
not 6.9 cents:cuss:

Its 6.9 cents for calling to indian mobiles on 98 series - which to me makes sense as most indians have 98 series.

They are also offering the calling to pakistan ( whole pakistan ) for 6.9 cents.

Hi Friends,

Will you please answer the following question.

I had applied for a Searsconnect long distance plan and they activated my account just before Christmas. But when I tried to make a call to India I got a reply: You have made a long distance call and your phone is not entitled for long distance calls.

I called back to Searsconnect and asked about this problem. They advised me that you call your local carrier company and ask them to allow you to make long distance calls. Then you can use our service.

My local carrier is TELUS and I have never used their long distant service due to attrocious cost. I called TELUS costumer service and they said that my long distance options are locked. I may have to pay a security deposit or something like that for it. Their credit dept was closed for holidays and they advised me to call them back after the reopening.

I visited to TELUS website to see if I can do it myself by logging in to my account. There I found many long distance plans. Do I need to subscribe to some of these plans to unlock my phone's long distance capabilities? Which plan should I subscribe to? Should it be one which offers me atleast 800 minutes?

Besides, every long distance plans come with a administrative fee ( a small amount like $4.95 monthly). Do I need to pay this amount?

Please answer.

sincerely,
goodcanadian

Please call them again and advise that you have contract for long distance with another provider (searsconnect), you dont need to pay security deposit.

Best of luck.
Hiren

Hi All ,
I use necctelecom 's services .
it gives 7.9 cents to any phone ( Cell plus Landline ) in India, 24 hours a day .
Billing increment is 6 secs ( not 1 minute as others generally do )

Call this 1-866-300-2610 to setup your account

Check this website http://www.necctelecom.ca" rel="nofollow">LINK

I'll appreciate if you can give my reference while setting up the account
( I'll get 3% discount if you my ref Thks )

Ask for special rate
They do not have any MIN monthly charges which is not so with others ...

I found it the best so far :)
Cheers
