$5 for unlimited landline calls to India, are you sure? Aren't there any hidden charges or anything? Is it really unlimited, or do they have a max cap per month?

stop thinking for vonage to get unlimited LD

To have this service you dont have to be in USA. Just ask someone in usa to buy for you and ship it to you..and enjoy.

Anyways, I am using primus and got my 1st bill, all land lines are free and quality is good too. I know they suck at customer services but as long as i dont have issue i m fine...:D just calling 2 hrs everyday to call india...for $5../month

You have to check with Primus what all you have to get from them, may be you have to get their bundle (home phone, internet, long distance) for their $5 unlimited to landlines in India (actually it is 50 countries).

Most of my contacts in India have switched to cell phone with no home phone.

I think it is the best option for everybody, just read all your 6 posts. Telecom companies have to pose as customers to promote themselves and get some free advertising!

You just have to get only the home phone line from Primus and they have an add-on feature - $5 / month with unlimited call to India. I know someone who has it
