i've been using reliance for a while when they were charging 14.99cents but then for a while i changed to rogers international calling plan paying $1 per month to my landlline...they cost 15.99 cents but i changed considering the fact that to use reliance i need to dial 1-888 number followed by another 14digit numeber and then finally the destination number...
towards the end if no one takes the phone...i will be so pissed off...
with rogers you can straight away dial the indian number
then my friend referred me to comwave and they gave me an incredible 7.99 cents , and i can register my mobile, landline and office number...so i dont need a pin number or anything..just dial the 416 number and then the indian number...
which is nice... they wont give you this rate unless you tell who referred you because their normal rate is 8.99 cents now...because reliance lowered their rate too...
When i got this rate for 7.99cents reliance was charging 14.99cents

No, you can't have two long distance (direct dial) companies at one phone line. But if you are using comwave indirect service (indirect means you have to dial some access no. like Reliance), then you can use both comwave indirect & startec direct services.
You can use as many indirect services like Reliance as you wish but only one direct dial service.

Is it possible to use the services of 2 different long distance companies like comwave & startec by 2 users with different account setups sharing the same landline. The situation we are facing right now is com wave does not provide this services to split account under same landline. Myself & my friend share the apartment and wish to keep seperate long distance accounts. We have been using reliance long distance services for quite a while now as they have a toll free number to dial.
Thanks for your help.
comparing to realiance and comwave which i tried earlier to call india i found good thing for cheap calls and good connectivity.if any cd want to know about this company, please write to me.

if ur parents or siblings or whoever live in an area in India where they have high speed DSL service, send a Primus router and connect it over there. The router will cost a one time 65$ and from there on its around 20$ a month.
The VOIP router will have a local Canadian number.
Thus for both sides becomes a local number.
Unlimited calling.
It's the way to go.
