Hi,
I found this package from youth hostel for job seekers. Looks reasonable considering all the perks they are offering apart from daily rent.

unlike the youth hostels in India and middle east. there is no privacy or comfort in the hostels in Canada. better u ask somebody in Toronto to arrange a basement for u.
