Somehow I think the essence of my humor is being lost... . Anyone else feel that way ?
Not lost on all, Jake. Its worth it even if a couple of people get it.

Are you there?
Hi all,
I am surprised that many of the newcomers are shocked at the lifestyle and culture of Canada (eg school kids behaviour as given above)
They say India is an uncivilized place.....people have less manners......Its true that Western people have started the "Sorry" culture which Indians were not used to 50 years back ...bla bla bla........
But the basic decency, moral value and culture was always part of Indian culture............This is where Western civilization has gone wrong.......
They dont even spare their parents.....F@#$ ...word is commonly used in schools, dress sense invites chastity, dating is quite common among 16 yr olds ......when they sould be spending more time developing their brains than rather than the instinct from "pitutary" gland.
When you stamp the Canadian Visa and leave your home country.......you should be willing to accept these facts.............
BBC and the other Tv channels show 24 hours about India as the land of snake chalmers, beggars, povery, idol worship, elephants...etc etc. They dont care about the moral values and the family values there........
Before Immigrating people know 100 things about Canada......like CN Tower, Niagra falls, good Infrastructure, better lifestyle bla bla......
How come no research was done on the negative side of this country??????
What might be wrong for us migt be OK for the "Original Canadians".....
Am I wrong?

U win some...lose some...everything is not justified in this world.
I think this is all a part of settling down in a new place. Somethings strike you as really really surprising and u did not expect it out of that place. I lived for many years in the united states and have travelled in many parts of the world as well and i also worked with teenage youth in the US but never did i feel intimidated in any way i did and i was just sharing my concern. i know the best way to overcome the concerned feeling is to develop more confidence and experience in this place...thanks to all who posted replies!

When you consider crime statistics, Canadian cities are probably among the safest in North America.
In a city of 5 million people, you're bound to see the type of things that have happened during the past week!

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.
