I managed to get a good used Laptop (P3, 1.2 Ghz, 256 MB, 20 GB, DVD) for about $300 with a Laptop bag (no tax) and it's been working good for the past 6 months...

I found it is worth a try compared to the exorbitant price and whopping tax that supplements the cost...

Similarly, couple of my pals also sought the same route and bought their second laptop for their Better half and no complaints so far.

Please reply whether I should bring Laptop from India If I buy Laptop without original OS, can this create problem at airport once I reach Canada

Always buy computers with original OS atleast.

Don't know whether it will create problem at Canadian airport or not. Have heard of problems with pirated CDs though.
