Is Celeron in a laptop good for normal web browsing and MS office software.
And is MDG a good outlet to buy it?

I just brought one from Costco, main consideration for buying from costco was their 6 months return facility should anything go wrong, even otherwise, you are at liberty to return the product back within 6 months from your purchase, that in itself is a good condition , you have that peace of mind .
You can buy online even if you are not a member of costco, they charge $ 18 for shipping , which is also refunded if you return the product within 6 months. Hope this helps.

yes, celeron processor in a laptop is good enough for what you are planning to do. Down the line, if you plan to watch a movie or play music while working on your computer then it is better to buy a Pentium.

I bought an Acer Celeron 360 1400 Mhz laptop over Boxing Day weekend from the Source. Celeron is good and fast for Office and Web browsing but not good for graphics intensive apps. Check out the Source for their clearance items.
