How long Indian Origin person holding Canadian passport can stay in India?

We are Indian origin and now Citizen of Canada. We also surrendered our Indian passport and our Canadian passport now bearing OCI stamp. We are now planning to visit India for our family gatherings. But I may stay there over six months to resolve some personal matters as well properties issues.

Can some one guide us how long an Indian origin person holding Canadian passport can stay in India? Can I spend over six month there?

Please advise.

If you have OCI, you can stay in India for as long as you want, without the requirement of reporting to the authorities.
