I, along with my wife, run a pure vegetarian catering service. for the past 4 years. We owe our success to our dedication, taste, flavor and good customer service.
For quite some time now, our friends have urged us to look to another market - the office goers and factory workers. We are told that there is vast untapped market for Indian foods (esp where there are many Indians at work). We have been told that should we deliver lunch packs at these offices/factories at a designated time every day, at a reasonable price, we should be successful.
I need your advice on:
1) How to gain access to this market - I mean - how to get access to this market
2) What should the price of a lunch pack, ideally be?
3) What might be the affordability of these customers - rathar what would be the right pricing for a lunch pack - $ 1.99, $ 2.49 or $ 2.99?
4) For this to be cost effective, we need at least 10 customers at each office or factory (the cost of gasoline being so high) - Will we be able to get these numbers?
I would be grateful to my fellow CD's for advice, views and comments on the above.
Thanks, and have a wonderful weekend!
Hi,
What r u planning to serve in the lunch pack? you pricing is compared only after you indicate what r u proposing to serve?
With whatever minimum you are proposing to serve is this price of 2.99? viable? I mean what is your cost ? profit %? assuming you get 10 customers per office bldg, how many do you plan to cater in a day to cover your costs plus profit?
