Some of the travel agents have been there for the past twenty odd years in their business. Look for one in the neighborhood and take your time and get the best fares from them. Most of them will provide you with 5% discount if you know some one there personally. Atleast, in your case as you are travelling one way.
My experience was that the fares were cheaper from Mumbai- out, on a return ticket. The travel agent was from Andheri West. This was for a friend who was visiting United States and he made a long travel journey, and in detail. He was back and he was happy. He got 5% off the 'least' price quoted by three others.

I bought the afternoon paper for a week and he was there in one of them. Now I do not remember the date the AD appeared.

Please call a few of them or collect the papers and see who is quoting the least. You will know the Travel agent in there.
