Hi Friends,
I intend to visit canada very soon for 2 weeks. I'm sure I wont get the PR card in such a short span.
I came across questions in which people face problems with photos taken which were improper and then they had to reappear for that. Now I dont intend to go back to canada for another 3 years after my first visit.
Can someone please suggest the ways we can avoid such errors so that one dosent need to rush to canada for some silly reason like photos being improper or name being mis-spelled in the PR card.
Also can some one please tell me how much time does CIC take to stamp the visa and send the passport back. I'd sent my passport through blue dart on 10rh of July.
On Blue dart's site it shows that it has reached CIC but I have not yet got back the passport.
Thanks
incan
Hi incan,
Your question is a valid one. Just as in any photographing session a fly could dart in between the object and the camera and the photo looks awful. Some times the people blink. wink and nod. Some times close their eyes, being tired after a 24 hour journey. There could be ghosts, gremlins and glitches that throw the image out of kilt. All these are contributing factors and they do happen. These occurances are far and between. Based on these situations the Canadian Government might request a second session with an individual. These things are though duplicated and made sure that they have atleast one clear and good picture that resembles the one that you submitted and 'as is' in their files, some of them may not resemble due to other reasons, which I am not aware of, other than the swelling of their bodies at extremely high altitudes.
So, be prepared and do ask the picture taker if the session is complete and they have a clear and good copy for the PR Card. Be nice about it and move on into the baggage area and clear out. Now you are in Canada.
Now put your head to rest and sleep on it. Don't worry..... Be Happy......
They might take anywhere from two to four weeks for the return of the passport/s unless there are unforeseen circumstances. That includes the vacation breaks at their end,
Freddie.

Incan, I think on my post you raised this question. This is for our Son's picture where they are saying it’s not correct for the PR card. I agree with an_immigrant, in our case they did not take the pictures at the time of entry, it was the picture we sent them at the time of medicals...that is why I was surprised...the pictures we sent for the whole family were on one dimension and were all clear. If me and hubby can get the card what happened with our son and this strange query from them.
Incan please don't worry...I don't think it happens everyday. If you still feel so...ask to be clicked at the time of entry or carry extra pictures (check size...dimensions...most photographers know it too).
Hope this helps in anyway.
