I landed in Toronto via Michigan from US by car in Aug 2004.

In Nov 2004, I got a letter to appear with family at CIC office because CIC needed to take our photos again for PR card purposes. We could not make it to CIC office then.

Now I want to go there for a day or two so that CIC can take our photos and continue with PR card processing. Can you advise how to proceed on this one (setting up appointment for this purpose etc).

& ask them

I dont think you need to call and book an appointment - we had the same issue - one of our kids photos submitted was not as per the specs. So they sent us the spec sheet and said that we should get new photos and go to the nearest CIC centre. We got the photos done outside and went to the CIC (no appointment). They just took our letter and the photos and that was it. There was no crowd and we were out of CIC in 15 mins flat. We got our kids PR card in the mail within 2 weeks.

BTW your PR cards are free within 6 months of landing; if you apply after that then they will charge you for each card.
