Any experience with Citi NRI services?

You dont need to use money2india to transfer money to Citibank NRE account. You can simply post a chect to the citibank office in Toronto. Money2India levies commission to transfer money.

True that Citibank does not charge an outright commision for remittances ; however, their exchange rates are poor (at least 1Re less for 1 CAD) compared to money2india / remit2india. So, they are more than making up for the "no commission".

Any body knows In what state the bank is , and how safe are the deposit.
I understand in India they are only insured for Rs.100,000.
Any comments of safety of deposit if bank goes down ...?

Kesho in Canada deposits of upto 100 K $ are insured by CDIC ..

Citi Bank has branches in all major cities.

Yes insurance is only upto Rs 100,000.
