Coming frm US I'm interested in buying a place before moving there, ofcourse after careful selection. Apartment condos in GTA look quite affordable as far as my dealings with realtors there. Even if we dont actually move up very soon that is, we were thinking of renting it out....does that sound feasible...anyone there who has actually done this?

Currently here it is 'the buyer's market'. So, you DO get a 'Choice'
Currently the housing market is on a down ward spiral. Has it hit the bottom? No.
Currently the mortgage interest rates are Very High. Does that encourage buying? No. Will it come down? It is a wait and watch game.
These are my observations.
There are Mortgage Specialists and Real Estate Agents and Brokers here on this web site and they will provide you with their opinions too. Wait for the same.
