Thank you, I will try to do so..
More suggessions are welcome.
Hi guys,
My husband and myself plan on visiting Dubai mid October for 3 days enroute to India. We are looking for some reasonably good hotels and willing to spend around $100 per night. Also, would like to know the names of some good guided tours. Any suggestions and recommendations would be highly appreciated.
Thanks as always, for your time.
I stayed in Qatar for 10 years and i feel that there is nothing to see in the Middle East . It is hardly a tourist destination except for tall buildings and endless tracts of sand. The only worthwhile place to visit is Salalah in Muscat.

You know you are a desi when ........ You spew forth the virtues of India, but don't want to live there...............You've never had a tanning salon membership
Dubai is a visitor/s shoppers paradise who are visiting for a week or less .
Browse for Al Andalus hotel . We stayed there twice - reasonable rates , good connectivity , family oriented middle class hotel . Cabs are cheap and excellent commute option once in Dxb .
Dont forget to visit Gold Suq (walking distance from this hotel ) , Jumeirah beach , Dune Bashing , Dhow trip , Mercato , Al Wafi , Lamcy Plaza , Karama market , wild wadi burj al arab .... browse for 'Dubai things to see '

Gappi,
Dubai is much much safer than is India, so if you've been to India you know what to look out for. However a few suggestions -
1. dress modestly especially at night, so it is clear that you are not .......
2.BE CAREFUL AROUND GROUPS OF MEN EVIDENTLY FROM A LOWER ECONOMIC BACKGROUND, ESPECIALLY IF THERE IS NOBODY ELSE IN THE VICINITY!!!
3.in case of trouble, ask an elderly Arab (dressed in a kandoora and wearing a keffiyah) for help. I've never seen an unhelpful/uncourteous elderly Arab in my 10 years there. Young Arabs can be dangerous.
Enjoy your trip.
Rgds,
