Hello, my father is visiting us from India this fall. While he is here, we also want to visit some family friends in the US.
Wondering if anyone has advice/experience with how difficult it is for visitors to Canada to apply for US visa here and get it?
I heard it is easier if he applies in India but we ran out of time..
Please advise!!
Thanks!
It is advisable to get the US visa from India. It is quite difficult to get one in Canada if you are only visiting Canada.
Last time when we went to get our US visas, we saw a old lady from a South American country being denied a visa. I saw her son arguing to no end but she was simply refused. Buy you can try as some cases do get the visa but be prepared to be rejected.

That is also what we thought but then as he has only a week or so left before his departure from India to Canada, I didn't want to risk paying the visa app fees and then finding out that the earliest appt is months later!
(in india, for some reason, we have to pay fees first then you can book your appointment... wheras here you only pay the initial $8.xx for the appointment.)
any suggestions as to what i can bring to increase the odds of being successful??
