Richard Dawkins is just an arrogant prick... he can't stand any logical questioning. The way he responds to questions is kind of funny - instead of giving any logical answer, he will start attacking the intelligence of any one asking questions.
With due respect to all scientists - can anyone say the Science was not responsible for any destruction is this world?
Both Science and Religion can be used or misused - it is the HUMAN greed at the root of all the destruction and destructive activities. Most religions warn/advice their followers AGAINST greed, Science/scientists never done that.

Interesting discussion. I believe that the scientists are not in a position to preach, in contrast to "dharmagurus". If they feel that their research can be misused, they can abort their research of ethical grounds. I believe it is the politicians who use scientists as their pawn to carry out the mayhem.
Science responsible for destruction?? How about Nalanda being burnt or Somnath temple being destroyed? How is science responsible for that? Maybe for person who invented fire or a hammer?
Coming back to Richard Dawkins, I read few opening pages of his book, "The God Delusion". I felt as if he was as aggressive in his approach towards atheism, as much as a religious fanatic would be. I believe extremism of any kind is not justified, whether it is for or against God/religion.
It is interesting to see how artist's take on such debates. Watch South Park episode featuring Richard Dawkins (Ep where Cartman freezes himself for a WII) or Simpsons episode, where Bart becomes a catholic

Precisely my point. I mentioned all humans (whose chose to misuse science/religion) you limited your choice to politicians (just 1 species of Human)..
I do not understand the need for TTC to jump into this mess - what's thier problem if the people are religious? Why do they need to propagate anti-religion messages on thier buses/subway?
There are way better and other pressing reasons/needs to use the money/funds available with TTC.Hiren
