Hi everyone,

We are planning to move to toronto in March end, I was wondering wht kind of immunization and blood test reports are required fr me and my husband. We are both 37 and I honestly dont have any records fr us as it was done ages ago by our parents and that time this was not recorded.

Someone please advise and also tell me if we can take it there in toronto and if so thn how much does it cost to do so.

You don't require any immunization or blood works as such .... but if you have children, you will require their immunization records for school admission. Once you become eligible for OHIP (after 90 days) you can get your blood tests done free of costs on reccomendation of your family doctor. Hope this helps.

It is better you carry a record of Immunisation for each of your children for the admission to the school and is a mandatory requirement. Though it is provided free by Walk-in clinics for the children, it however needs a waiting period of 3 months after you land in canada. So it is a good Idea to carry it along with you.
Adults are not required any record of Immunisation.

I am sorry for not adding what I was supposed to ,apart from what puttoo already mentioned is that there is a format which has all the vaccinations and the periods/dates on which they are administered to the children. You need to use that form.

Better get everything done in India related to your health as yo willnever be able to access the same in Toronto or anywhere else. Its possible that you may be made to wait for months for nothing or even refused.So I will suggest you to even bring at least a year's medicine with you as its not sold here and new immigrants will not have access for at least 5-6 months.This is a terrible country when it comes to medical care.Only if you met an accident and are about to die that you get attention from authorities.

We have a son abt 7 years old and we have taken his immunisation record frm his pediac, but its the format frm here in india. Does it matter, bec i m not sure wht form you are talking abt fr him.
