Thanks ftfl

I have few more queries -

As many do, we come Canada & went back to Middle East for almost 12-13 months. For First 8 months ( after going back from Canada ), we were in Middle East. Then my wife & kid went to India for 4 months on Vacations.

Just before coming back to Canada 2nd time, wife & kid again come to Middle East for 2-3 weeks. Of course, in between I travelled to India only once & that too for one week.

Logically when I am completing citizenship application & filling last 4 years address, I should write-

For wife & kid-
First 8 months in Middle East, then 4 months in India. Is that correct ? OR

Should I include address in Middle East for last 2-3 weeks again ( just before coming to Canada)

About me-
Should I show my visit to India ( its just for one week or so )

Now in Child's application to Citizenship -
There is column which ask for HAS CHILD LEFT CANADA for 6 MONTHS or LONGER after PR

So should I include my child's visit to Middle East as well as India
He was in Middle East for 8 months & then in India for 4 months

Also in citizenship application, they are asking ADDRESSES IN LAST 4 years
So should I write exactly last 4 years address at the time of application? OR
should I write all addresses from the time PR taken ( its almost 4 years & 9 months )

Thanks in advance

YES : You should prepare a sheet for each one of them, with their name on the top. Then write down the dates and the places they were at as far as you can remember where they were. Then check and see if they tally with the entries on their Passports that they have. If they are correct then your memory is functioning good. If the Citizenship people want to check, then, the Passport entries will back you up. If you need to support your entries, save the air line ticket stubs or the itinerary from the travel agent which will supplement the same information. In this manner every entry gets supported and gets taken care of.

YES. You should include the dates in you list. The entry in your sheet will be supported by the stamping in your Passport. Which is, the trip to India.

From your statement it does show that they were away for more than SIX Months. You answer should be in the affirmative. Which means YES.
You should likewise prepare a list for the child also. As far as I can remember, the children under 18 are not that much affected by this. But it is wise to do it anyway. The list that you are preparing and the entries in the Passport will all fall in line and there are no questions that will ever arise as to where they were etc., any time in the future, when they apply for their own Canadian Passports. Just pass the paper to them when they grow up and live on their own.

Now you are all set. Prepare the list and check them against the available entries and see the time line is continuous since you arrived in Canada. Make a list of the address also from your arrival here as a PR with the dates alongside.
The ones prior to your immigration into Canada are taken care of by your application to enter Canada and they all are verified. So, you have everything in order.

Go ahead and apply.

Freddie.

Also for your information, you should have a copy of the COPR and your PR card and the entry in your Passport also, AND whenever you are at the Passport Office, ask them about three or four certified copies of the proof of landing papers from them. It will cost a few dollars now. But when you or your children who immigrated from other countries want to get their Canada pension and OAS, which could be fifty years down the road, they will ask them for the CERTIFIED copy of the same. It will come very handy if and when they need. So, try and get them and hang on to them dearly, when you have time now.

Freddie.

Thanks Freddie

We finally send application for Canadian Citizenship

But now we have to renew our PR card
and now I am completing forms for PR renewal

my question is -
they are asking about Address for last 5 years as well as Absence from canada after getting PR

should I use exactly same what I completed in citizenship application?

Since space is limited , can I use extra sheets?
Can I take a print out or this extra sheet should be hand written ?

Also about work history -
They want to know work history for last 5 years

Should I write about all jobs ?
At one aprticular time, I was doing two jobs-one part time & one full time
So should I write about all

does it make any difference?

Thanks

Yes you can use exta sheets if space is limited. For the job history, I think leaving out couple of minor or part time jobs should not make any difference as long as there is continuity of months with others jobs.
Hope this helps.
