Hi All,

I had applied visitor visa for my parents and it has been rejected by below reason,

"You have not satisfied me that you meet the requirements of Regulation 179; that you would leave Canada at the end of the temporary period if you were authorized to enter. In reaching this decision I considered your ties to your country of residence/citizenship balanced against factors which might motivate you to stay in Canada."

1)Can anybody suggest me which document will help to assure them that i am taking full resposnibility to send back my parents?.
2)Can anybody went through this situation?
3) will MP letter help?

Please reply me back ASAP .

Thanks in Advance

Hi sanjay

I am sorry for your situation!Do not loose hope.A letter from your local MP should definetly be of help(though it does not assure 100%visa approval)but in most cases a visa has been approved. All the best!

cheers
prince

My question is, how hard is it to get such a letter from your MP? Do they charge anything? Do they issue this letter to anyone (citizen) who requests the same or is there any criteria?

It's very easy to get and there's no charge.
Call your local MP's office and explain the situation.
Depending on how big your constituency is and how busy your MP is, you may or may not get the chance to speak to him/her directly.
Either way, explain your situation and request the letter.
They /should/ be quite familiar with these types of situations and getting the letter is quite easy.

However, whether the consulate values such a letter or not is another question.
If the visa rejection was not random i.e. there is a real underlying reason for it and if there is no change in circumstances, then MP letter per se is useless, IMO.
MP letters are dime a dozen and the consulates abroad get hundreds of these every day.

Hi sanjay,
I have seen this before and would like to add my 2cents in regards.
1>Ask her parents to show more bank balance (maybe aroun 10lks)..
2>Ask them to show the properties..such as flat, own home, agri land....with notaried by local MRO office
3>Show them that they are working in some company (family friends company even though they r retired)
4>Lastly show them a reason why they r comming...such as wife delivering, grandchildrens visit, sightseeing niagara...etc...
5>I would go for MP's letter if the case is complicated and rejecting for no reason...
Ofcourse do not forget to show sufficient funds and employement letter from you side...
Good luck
