if someone has genuinely stayed in canada for 2 years out of 5 to meet pr residency requirements but there was some false information given in previous years, does it affect renewal in any way? does it become a legal matter? how can this be corrected?
What type of false information and where was it given?
In general, any false information given at any time as part of immigration related matters, if discovered, can lead to termination of immigration status - even after citizenship.
If you are about to renew PR Card, please provide all accurate and true information.
Unless you tell us what the false information was and how/when it was provided, it's hard to give any suggestion.
