I am planing on leaving for a vacation may be for around 2 months or so. My car is almost due to change oil, has been around 4k km on it. As it would be just parked underground and wouldnt be driven all this time, I have following questions that i need CDs assistance with.

1. Should i change the oil now or should i change it after returning back
2. What tire pressure should i leave in the tyres
3. How much fuel should i leave in the fuel tank (does it even matter) ?
4. Should i disconnect the battery ( its a 99 corolla)

Thank You in advance :)

Hello!
If I were you, I would not do anything but just leave the car as it is. 2 months is not a big time and since you are parking it underground, the impact of snow / cold waeather would be nil or next to nothing.
However, if you are a tension man, then you could do the following :
1. Do an Oil change and keep clean Oil in the car's cylinders
2. Fill the tank with premium gas.
3. Disconnect the battery to be cautios of battery drain.

Also I would call my insurance and put the insurance on hold for 2 months / cancel / change into Parking status insurance.

Peace by a PD

All that is said above is correct. The only thing to include is
This is all somehow Canada's fault. They made u come here and cheated you to buy a car and park it and pay for insurance. You can go to the local MP, explain , plead to them how Canada cheated you. They may some how manage to get you some discount. If this does not work, goto free food bank, again explain how Canada cheated you, they may not get u any discount, but they give you free canned food that is not cooked to your taste and cheat you. Hope this helps.
