Agree with you Biomed, but as i see there are equal amount of people that will disagree on this forum. Some were just lucky enough to get a good break when they first came. Perhaps if they too were in line with the other immigrants like starting in a warehouse or factory then it would be another story. India problem is population. Corruption will lower as soon as the new generation takes over. It is just beginning. So far most of our politicians were freedom fighters who were thinking the old way. It has started to change. I guess once you are displaced from your motherland you keep moving till you finally settle some place when you are tired of looking for the other end of the rainbow.

There would always be dis-agreement on one's views. As long as that dis-agreement comes out in a mature and professional way, it is always healthy.

I would not say India has more corruption than Canada. If you read news papers and listen to the radio, you will find this country has more corruption than India. Definitely population is a big factor for India in pulling that country down.

Thanks and regards.
Biomed

If India can turn into a fast-growth economy, it will be the first developing nation that used its brain power, not natural resources or the raw muscle of factory labor, as the catalyst.

add to that without taking over another country (colonialism).......or have we;)

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.

There was a time that one's standard of living and general happiness could be much improved in the west (with relatively little work).... now you'll work like a dog just to survive. Go home!
