This process of Immigrating into Canada is NOT a piece meal process. It has to be done thoroughly and in ONE SHOT.

Which means, you will have to sponsor your Child and also your Husband. While you are doing it, you should also include your Parents and also your Parents in law and your siblings and your Husbands Brothers and Sisters also. They will not be immigrating with you, but will be included in the application. Since you have already filled in one, you should know a little more of what I am saying here. Also get in the correct forms for the whole family, i.e., to include your son and also your Husband in your first submission.

Now coming to dual nationality, you will have to spend a full term of three years out of four to apply for the same. You will have to go through the sponsorship first. Then you have to come down to Canada. The same applies to your Husband also. After you both stay here in Canada and fulfill the requirements, you apply for the citizenship. Then you can become a dual citizens, if Pakistan also recognizes dual citizenship.

All of this takes time. It is going out into the future and I can see as far as five good years before anything substantial could happen. You will have to bide your time till then.

Now to the question: You are an Immigrant of Canada. If you want to apply for your son's visit, they know that your intentions are to keep him with you, because it is your Baby. So, they will decline. They will say NO.

Now to the next: You cannot leave your husband out of the process, if you do they will be suspicious as to why you are doing this? They will not be giving you the benefit of doubt and say she does not know the Immigration rules and the Canadian Law. They might even turn your application down even for your Son's sponsorship.

Thanks for telling us all of this little at a time. Atleast we know the full story and you can tell us the balance of the same a little more at a time. For us to see through you, it has taken a few postings, and after seeing the situation you are in, we are able to provide you with the whole process, so that you will understand the same, just like what others have done by learning it a little at a time. You have not missed out a lot but you are now at the starting gate. Now start on the right foot and complete the whole process and in full and fill in all of the details completely as required and please do "keep a Xerox copy for your files", before you make your submission to the Immigration people here in Mississauga, after you land here in Canada. But take your time and prepare for all of this while you are there.

Now ask your husband to prepare to face the Immigration people for the interview that he will be called for, since you both just got married there in Pakistan. There are a lot of pages of help with instructions and how to go about it here on this Canadian Desi Website. Please search and read the same. Now you know that you came to the RIGHT place for the RIGHT advice.

I could be a lot more descriptive and provide you with complete details. But I don't want to repeat or duplicate what is available from the previous posts.

Proceed with caution and do everything in detail to completion.

Freddie.

They know more about you than you are telling us. Because, you are a Canadian Immigrant and they have a lot of intelligence base to tap and cross check. Now that you are married to an Officer in the Army, you are scrutinized even more thoroughly before they will provide you with an approval.

When you fill in your Immigration Application, either you provide all of the information that is called for or you don't Immigrate at all. It is either slow or fast. There is no such thing as "HALF FAST."

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

Freddie.

I humbly accept your thanks. It is a pleasure to be of service to you and your family.

1) First you apply with all of the required details as needed in the forms given to you by the Canadian Embassy, there in Islamabad. They will check and will get back to you after due verification. It calls for Police Clearance Certificate. Then they will send you a request for the Medical Examination through an approved Medical Practitioner. Please see the forms to get an idea as to when they take place. Medicals come Last. Then the Request for your Passport for the stamping.

Please get these papers ready while you are there in Pakistan. You bring these to Canada with you. You can bring Xerox copies of their Passport too. After you land here in Canada, you can submit these here in Canada for the sponsorship. While you are away from Pakistan, your family should be in a position to take care of the infant, in your absence.

Before you leave Pakistan, you should prepare your husband for an interview with the CHC there, with all of the details required, because you both just got married there. Have as much information as you can compile for that interview.

2) http://www.islamabadtranslation.com/
http://islamabad.locanto.com.pk/ID_102149953/ALMASOOM-TRANSLATION-ISLAMABAD.html There are others nearby who can do the translations for you. Please ask in the neighborhood where you live. They should have the recognition of the Pakistani Government or the seal of approval. You have to pay their fees.

3) Fill in all of the columns and recheck with the check list that they provide you with. The payments to them are to me made through approved channels and through approved Banks. Make sure of that. Fill in all of the forms applicable to your areas such as your travels to other countries and the duration there. If it exceeds Six months or more provide them with a Police Clearance Certificate for that region. There may be many more provided by the Islamabad Embassy, please check with them. Submit all your papers through an approved courier to them.

4) The fees given by you are the last quoted on their website. You can also ask them if it is correct.

I don't know where you will be landing here in Canada.

After you land here, please look for the nearest Immigrant help center. Call them and find out how to get there and visit and get those forms filled and checked by them. They will help you with all of the required services till your family reaches here.

Good Luck.

Freddie.
