Hi all,
Come here ONLY if you have some relative here - who can help you - in
- getting license (can cost $1500)
- getting house (basements save u $1000 a month)
- getting a job (Canada is based on SIFARISH even govt jobs are unionized and sifarishes are legal.)
- getting a car (even ordinary stupid cars can be $1000 a month if not purchased sensibly)
- getting you all information about taxation.
I spent over $25000 of personal money to learn these thing. I am underemployed - working in a job which requires no qualification - my salary goes into rent - my wife earnings gets us grocery. Kids education is 3 times inferior than India - local Indian kids born here are almost all drug users and work at restuarents etc with no ambition in life. University education is thousands of dollars even for a plain BA. Preffessional MBA etc ask for 20-50000 dollars even from citizens, Loans are avaialble for eveything and people keep on paying their education loan even till they are 40+. No one wants to marry and raise family due to high taxation, and such a setup of the society.
I am going back in a few months. If you were a landless labour in India earning less than $100 a month this is the right place for you.
I totally agree.

Now I realize how BC became "Beautiful BC" on the licence plates...with all the growing...
Anyway, now that makes us entrepreneurs...can't have that.

True advise for people planning to come to Canada
My opinion ....
I came to Canada by looking at free education and free health care and I overlooked one main point.... job. I never thought that it is very very difficult to get a decent job without referrals or any relatives here. Above all, your skin colour plays very imp. role. Employers say you are over qualified for jobs (they don't want to give it to you- an excuse).
Health care sucks. One of my friend's son was 2 yrs old and operated for a kidney problem and expired after that. My neighbour died of cancer due to late diagnosis and expired within a week. My co-worker was operated for some intestinal problem and was wrongly packed after operation. He has to go to India to rectify that. Dental costs will kill you finally. It is purely your luck to be in the hands of a good doctor here.
Education free until grade 12 and after that every one has to take loans which has to be paid back until you retire.
Weather- no out door life in winters. You have to live like in jail for 8 months. Thats why people here suffer from cancer more as they live in closed air tight indoors.
Family time - absolutely no. Always life is tense. No job security. If you work, your wife will be at home and vice versa. Both can't spend time together most of the time.
Going back to school - No guarantee of getting a job and you loose even labour job income over top of it. Employers say the school, where you got education is not good and they prefer Harvard education ( I mean the best school on the earth) even for a small office job and local gets the same job not even with grade 12 education.
The list goes on. Overall in my personal opinion, if any body has a decent job back home or any where else.... Stay there.
