i completed my landing in december 2009 and came back to ksa after one week i also appied for health card
is it agianst the law?
i opened account in PC bank no hastle if you have passports, COPR and sin card pintout.
but the problem is they sent my PR card after one month but for my wife and son they are asking them to report at toronto CIC office again for photos.
i am in ksa now and dont know how can i go over there again specially since my wife delivered a baby boy who has no immigration status (thats the reason i left canada within a week time as i had no health coer and cost of delivering a baby is too high for a new comer to afford)

When you first come to Canada, you did not get to know about this website. So, you went about doing what ever that you can while you were here. Now see if you can undo it bit by bit.

It is not against the law to apply for any card or open a Bank account while you are here. It is a great feeling to accomplish all of these in a few days and run back to KSA. I know the KINGDOM is a nicer place.

Now having applied and got a Health Card and dropped in opened a Bank account, you have committed yourself to pay taxes to the Canadian Government, on all of the income from all over the World. You did not know about it at the time of doing it. ASKING IS NO CRIME..... BUT NOT KNOWING IS!!!!..

That is not nice of the Canadian Government to do that. You got yourself in a FIX. You did not know about it and do not want to pay taxes here, RIGHT?. So, come back and return the Health Card and close out the Bank account. Or alternately, send all of these by a Registered letter and keep Colour Copies of these and B & W copies of all of the letters. It might cost you under $20 to do all of these from the KSA. Keep all of these papers in a safe place. If you need acknowledgment, then, you can courier them too for under $100.00 from KSA. Thats it.

And DON'T Jump from any of the tall towers. Life is worth more in the Kingdom.

Freddie.

Merely opening a bank account and having a health card does not commit yourself to paying taxes to Canada. These are the secondary ties. If you do not have a house, spouse or any family living in Canada and do not have any cdn source income (these are the primary ties) in addition to your living outside of Canada, you are a non resident of Canada for tax purpose. Hence you do not have to pay taxes to Canada on your worldwide income.

Please do not scare people off!

Please see the prvious posting on this subject matter. It has been hashed a few times and I am sorry to say that these are the facts. It is nice to know that some good points came out of it.

The facts stand out like a sore thumb. Take it or leave it. That is the law of the land.

Hence give them the facts. Don't let them do what ever they want and get away with it. If you think it is O.K. to do it, you are wrong. Please read the subject matter thoroughly before committing yourself to it.

Freddie.

I know the "law of the land" and I do not advise people to break it. It is ok to give people ALL facts - which I did, and it is not a good idea to scare them off (which your post did).

Instead of asking me to read previous posts, you might want to seek professional advice (if you are really interested to know the law).

I would like you all to leave me follow my own pursuits in life and continue enjoying the same as I wish the same for others. I would like to close this chapter here on Canadian Desi for now.

I will utilize the available time at hand that I used to devote to Canadian Desi, for my research in TRADING TECHNIQUES and derive some financial gains from now on and let a few others, who frequent this board, contribute to this column and help few of the new posters who appear here with a few of their queries. Needless to say I will be here just, to watch and get a little feeling of closeness to the community that I have grown accustomed to.

Thank you all for enabling me to make my first dollar, starting today. I am sure the rest will follow as the craze for making easy money ensues from today.

A few of you who know me in person will surely get to see me more and a few that have heard of me will get to hear more from me. The rest can read my previous postings and enjoy as you have been doing before.

Thank you all for being so kind to a fellow Indian and I like wise respect you for your views and opinions, what ever they might be. We all are here under one roof to live and experience our own world, one which we have created. I will let you live and enjoy yours.

In conclusion, I want to wish you all the very best that life has to offer and what Canada means to you, and wish that you all Keep Good Health and Enjoy Life.

Freddie.
