What are the pre-req's for obtaining a 3 year TN permit?
Does the permit issued have a validity for 3 years or do we have to cross the border every year for a new I 94 even though the permit may be valid for 3 years.
When the permit is issued does the border agent ask questions with regards to the hiring process?I have had 2 interviews over the phone in Toronto while the interviewer was in Chicago and they want to see me face to face one week from now.
I will be crossing the border at Niagara Falls next week and then flying out from Buffalo and then returing the same route?Will the TN issuing agent ask me how I attended the interview and what reason did I state when crossing the border for the interview while issuing the TN permit.
Any new things we have to aware about.Please advise.

Your statement is confusing.
For attending interviews, you donot need a TN visa. You just need a cdn. passport / Indian passport with US Visa to cross the border.
TN visa is when you get the job offer (in the form of a letter) and then cross the border to start working.
The first time, when you go to cross the border for attending the interview at Chicago, if you want to tell the office that you will be attending an interview, go with your return flight ticket (which you can show to the officer).
As I heard, fort erie border crossing is the best but it really depends on the agent on duty that day.

-- As long as your paperwork is fine, you do not have to worry. I have heard good things about Pearson Airport PFI. The Rainbow bridge POE does not have very friendly reputation these days.

-- The TN is issued for the time mentioned in the letter up to the max period of 3 years. Once 3 years TN is issued, you do not need to cross the border every year.
