I am presently working in Montreal on a Work Permit and have been approved for the PR from Federal which i applied 2.5 years ago. Even though i am planning to cross the border in Ontario (cross the US border and come back), will there be any issues when the landing officer sees that i am already working in Montreal, QC with a Work Permit (no CSQ from QC for PR).
I am thinking on moving to a border town in Ontario and commute to Montreal, maybe this will satisfy the landing officer that my intentions are not to stay in Quebec.
I would appreciate some suggesstions/advice on this issue
Thanks
Hi,
Under the Federal immigration system, you are free to move to any part of Canada, including Quebec.
Good Luck

I am asking about this because when i sent my passport to Buffalo for stamping i got a call from the immigration Officer asking me about my where i plan to settle once i cross the border. She also mentioned that it was up to me to convince the landing officer that my destination is somewhere in Ontario not Montreal because my passport clearly shows that i am presently working in Montreal.
Thanks
