What OP asked for is a very personal issue, what matters to me may be several notches below your priority list, what I intensely hate is something you are least bothered with.
I have travelled lived and worked in both countries and here are my two cents
What I like about US
1. Roads, infrastructure and driving habits.
2. Cities are spread out and thinly populated.
3. Lot more options to move to a different city, different geographical area, lot more options to find better opportunites in different cities.
4. Most desi immigrants are well educated as compared to Canada.
5. More variety in stores/shopping/entertainment.
6. relatively better weather.

What I hate about US
1. Rapidly rising racism and idiocy. It was the land of opportunity but that was before 9/11 and outsourcing.
2. Gutter level media and politics and politicians too
3. Guns and terrible level of violence even in one horse towns.
4. No health care.
5. Extremely unsafe cities and towns. Try taking a walk in park / deserted downtown area in any city and you will know.

Having tarvelled to almost all major cities in the world I can confidently say that in my opinion GTA is the best place for a first generation Indian immigrant. Every where else you will turn the heads and get the looks.
