Hi everyone,
I am relocating to different place in the same town (just a KM away). Right now I have home phone with Bell. They would charge $60 for moving the service to new address. Rogers has a service where we keep the same number if we switch over to them. Will they charge extra if I want Rogers home phone with the same number at the new address. Anyone has similar experience?
Thanks in advance
I doubt it. It will be new service with Rogers. Rogers will allocate phone # provided to them by Bell. If you leave Bell, Bell will not allocate same # as it costs them money to move switches.

You can keep the same landline number while switching from one company to another within same city and I do not think they charge extra for that.
Of course, you can call Rogers call center and find out.

Landlines infrastructure is owned by Bell and Rogers rents it from them.
