I agree to your points. Luckily my kids behave n don't go bananas. I enjoy n at times go nuts with kids but yes, I can't stand screams as well. What I tried to point out that Kids also have this mood-swings ... its not only limited to women (Poor Men!). Parenting is tough n it's just that kid decided to scream at that point of time. Too bad, if some don't like it - life goes on. The fact remains no mater which place you go - I don't read disclaimers that "kids r supposed to behave and not allowed to run/scream" and Before picking restaurants, next time, check with them if Kids can be kids or not.
Table Etiquettes, may be at Queen's Palace or Uncle Sam's White House. But again, high end restaurants .... naaaaah - who decides high end??? I am paying them for their service and food. Take it n leave table manners to me

Some questions to be answered?
1. Which is good to use in the toilet - Water or Paper?
2. Eating with hands or forks? Only south Indians can tell how tasty it is to eat with fingers. I myself love it but can I do this practice in the restaurant?

IMO, this would depend upon where you are eating - go with the flow. Eating burger or sandwiches can be pretty messy. But I do get irritated by people making slurping or chewing sound.

This is typical with Gujaratis, whether it is India or abroad, Gujaratis will switch to English or Hindi. I do not know why Gujaratis are ashamed of their own language

It is a common courtesy in Canada. I have seen people getting offended if I do not reciprocate them with sorry/thank you. This is a part of so called "Canadian experience".
Noisy kids in desi restaurant is an annoying factor me. However, I think it comes with the territory and I cannot do anything. I wish desi parents were more careful about restaurant etiquettes, even if it was a desi restaurant.
I have the worst experience when it comes to dealing with salesman at Futureshop/Best Buy. Those guys have no technical information and just repeat the stuff posted on web. I am there to buy stuff and it is your duty to overwhelm me and force me to buy the stuff I do not want. One of my Caucasian friend also had a bad experience and as per him, those guys are now salaried and hence no impetus to push the sale. They get bonus only if they sell extended warranty. However, I still think desi salesman in big box stores have bias against desis, even though we have same/better purchasing power/credit than other Canadians.
One factor that perhaps has other Candians running for cover when they encounter desi is the smell coming out of jacket during winter months. Even the elevator smells of onion/garlic/ginger long time after they have exited. Same with corridors in apartment/condominium where a desi family lives. The best thing I have found to avoid a smelly jacket is to completely close the closet and open door/windows/exhaust while cooking smelly food.

We left the knife and fork to the daycare and trained our son on the "mission impossible" - tearing roti with one hand
